The Luminous Mysteries.

October Month of the Rosary--->
<---The Glorious Mysteries.

First Luminous Mystery:
The Baptism of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Biblical Text; Mt 3:13-17

Then Jesus appeared: he came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John. John tried to dissuade him, with the words,
"It is I who need baptism from you, and yet you come to me!"
But Jesus replied, "Leave it like this for the time being;
it is fitting that we should, in this way, do all that uprightness demands."
Then John gave in to him. And when Jesus had been baptised he at once came up from the water, and suddenly the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him.
And suddenly there was a voice from heaven;
"This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on him."

Meditation of prayer´s group Mary, Queen of Heaven.

Jesus begins his mission in this world, proclaim the Kingdom of God, and the first thing he does is receive the baptize.
John has the same age as Jesus, and already started to pave the way for the Lord. People come to the Baptist, they tell him their sins and John baptized them with water.
And John tells them, but there is One bigger than me, when He comes will baptize you with water and fire.
And that day came and Jesus appears to John to baptize him.
John at first refuses, saying: "It is I who need baptism from you, and yet you come to me!".
Jesus say him that is to be baptized to make is fulfilled the scriptures.
Juan accepts and baptizes.
Then he sees that heaven opens, and a dove descends on Jesus who is the Holy Spirit. And then a voice was heard saying that Jesus is the Son of God sent by the Father,
"This is my beloved Son, listen to him."
In an instant the Holy Trinity was present:
the Father with his voice, the Son who was baptized and the Holy Spirit as a dove. Thus the whole Trinity is revealed to the world, which before the coming of Jesus had never been displayed.
Only Heavenly Father, was manifested to the prophets and the righteous.
Being now revealed the great mystery of the Holy Trinity, which are three persons, and one God.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Christian Church was born, with the baptism of Jesus. Every Christian Catholic has been baptized and has received the power of God, we are a new creature. Many thanks we must give to God!, because we are Catholics, because we have more opportunities to go faster to heaven than other religions, because God himself can dwell in us if we want.

But that precious gift, requires sacrifice, be good, be humble, pray the rosary of Mary daily, going to Mass on Sundays, confess sins to a priest, and communion at least once per year, comply with our religion, to obey and accept what the Pope says. And above all to love God and neighbor as oneself.

Let us pray to Blessed Mary:
May we all be baptized in the Spirit of God.

Pray the Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one The Glory be.
And then:
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell leads to heaven all souls, and helps specially the most need of Thy Mercy".

Second Luminous Mystery:
The Wedding of Cana.

Biblical Text; Jn 2:1-11

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee.
The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him,
'They have no wine.' Jesus said, 'Woman, what do you want from me?
My hour has not come yet.' His mother said to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you.' There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons.
Jesus said to the servants, 'Fill the jars with water,' and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, 'Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.' They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said,
'Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.'
This was the first of Jesus' signs: it was at Cana in Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

Jesus and Mary had been invited to a wedding, this type of celebration usually lasted several days, where they ate, drank wine, and there was dancing.
The wedding was a very important event among the Jews, because with the marriage arrived the sons, and especially the first son who was continuing with the rituals and the tradition because the first son was the charged of praying for his father and the family.
So the first son was very important among the Jews and therefore the marriage was very important.

After much eating and drinking the wine was over, Mary knew that Jesus had power to do miracles, because throughout life of Jesus, she will have seen more than a miracle worked by her son, and trusting that she would be heard, asked to do the miracle.
To change water into wine. In the first step, Jesus refuses, reproaching her that it isn´t our matter if they ran out of wine. And you, what, woman?.
And in the second step says you saying that there is still time for him to act like God, when he tells Mary:
"My hour has not yet arrived." Yet, he accesses to her order and we see that Jesus obeys his mother. So we must always ask Jesus through Mary, and she will listen.
The servants filled the jars with water as it tells Mary.
It happens the most miraculous transformation.
So much so that the butler tasted the wine and admired, called the boyfriend says,
"Everyone serves the good wine first, and when it is drunk in abundance, the worst wine.
You, however, have kept the good wine until now.
Jesus demonstrates that when man entrusts him, can do great things, faith moves mountains and Jesus can do more than move mountains.
This was the first miracle Jesus performed and thus revealed his glory.
And also says the scripture that they believed in Him. With this miraculous, his followers, and the disciples, affirm their faith in Him and they believe that Jesus is God.
And the Father is in Jesus and Jesus in the Father, as if it were not so, would not be able to do what he does, turning water into wine.
Who can perform this miracle, unless God is in it? Nobody.
And Jesus performed the miraculous, therefore, Jesus is in God!

Let us pray to Blessed Mary:
The power to do all the good to our reach.

Pray the Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one The Glory be.
And then:
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell leads to heaven all souls, and helps specially the most need of Thy Mercy".

Third Luminous Mystery:
The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God inviting to the convertion.

Biblical Text; Mk 1:14-15

After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee.
There he proclaimed the gospel from God saying,
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the gospel".

Short pause for reflection or,
Meditation of prayer´s group Mary, Queen of Heaven.

To Jesus Christ, proclaiming the Kingdom is very important in his preaching and his life, and it devotes his own life.
The kingdom that Jesus proclaims is the same God, is light, salvation, peace, reconciliation. It is a Kingdom that we do not have to wait for death to view, for the kingdom begins each day and is a Kingdom that is within every man.
In his parables, spoken many times, Christ is showing the characteristics of the Kingdom to which all of us have been invited from our baptism.

The men of his time understood his parables, because Christ spoke in the same way that the prophets and people knew, but giving them a depth and scope, which did not dream nor the prophets themselves. The kingdom stressed in the conversion, in change of life, of attitude, of thought, and above all, love God and neighbor as oneself. Let own interests aside, and give us more to the needy brother. Let the easy way, where thousands are walked to eternal damnation. Through the narrow way, it is difficult to walk in it, but ultimately has its prize, eternal life.

Conversion God wants is the love of neighbor, love of life, the sacrifice for others, always wanting the good, even when all seems lost and useless.
It is not easy, because the world and lights distracting us, and cause them to lose the most valuable, Eternity.
But we have to Mary, our Mother in heaven, she will help us if we want. And Jesus, who hope us forever, no matter the burden that we carry.
Jesus lives for us and stay with us until the end of the world.

Let us pray to Blessed Mary:
The grace to spread the gospel to every person.

Pray the Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one The Glory be.
And then:
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell leads to heaven all souls, and helps specially the most need of Thy Mercy".

Fouth Luminous Mystery:
The Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Biblical Text; Lk 9:28-35

Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray.
And it happened that, as he was praying, the aspect of his face was changed and his clothing became sparkling white.
And suddenly there were two men talking to him; they were Moses and Elijah appearing in glory, and they were speaking of his passing which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem.
Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep, but they woke up and saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As these were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah".
He did not know what he was saying. As he was saying this, a cloud came and covered them with shadow; and when they went into the cloud the disciples were afraid.
And a voice came from the cloud saying,
"This is my Son, the Chosen One. Listen to him".

In the Transfiguration, the apostles realized that in Christ truly
"dwells all the fullness of the Divinity."
Jesus let them see all this before the Crucifixion, so they know who it is the one who is going to suffer for all humanity.
Jesus is God, who has taken a human body, and he will suffer for all the sinful humanity.
And they understand that at the Transfiguration, Jesus appears as what he is,
God who has power equal to the Father.
And in turn, know what God has prepared for those who love Him.
Share all eternity with Jesus Almighty, and dwell where He dwells, Heaven.

This is what the Church celebrates the feast of the Transfiguration.
Two very famous persons of the Old Testament.
Moses on behalf of the Law, and Elijah on behalf of the prophets, whom will appear next to Jesus, and they support what the Lord will do and testify that Jesus is Almighty God, and with this to proclaim that He is the messenger of God to save the world of the sin.
It is a beautiful eulogy made by Father God, about Jesus Christ. It's his only Son. It is beloved by God, and is preferred by all the other beings that exist.
That's why God asks listen to Jesus, He has words of eternal life. He is the light of the world.
He who follow him will not walk in darkness. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
He will carry those who hear him to eternal happiness.
The transfiguration is a glimpse of how Jesus transforms us too, when our death comes and if we go to Heaven.
With a new body and soul so pure and crystalline and the Lord Jesus will transfigure us in the blink of an eye,That's why God asks listen to Jesus, He has words of eternal life. He is the light of the world. He who follow him will not walk in darkness. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He will carry those who hear him to eternal happiness. The transfiguration is a glimpse of how Jesus will transform us too, when our death comes and if we go to Heaven.
With a new body and a soul so pure and crystalline, that the Lord Jesus will transfigure us in the blink of an eye, we will be transfigured.
A good example is Blessed Mary in Lourdes, Fatima, Medjugorje, who appears, ever radiant, young and so beautiful. She has been transfigured, and will remain so forever, for all eternity!.

Let us pray to Blessed Mary:
May God transform our lives for the good of others.

Pray the Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one The Glory be.
And then:
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell leads to heaven all souls, and helps specially the most need of Thy Mercy".

Fith Luminous Mystery:
The Institution of the Eucharist.

Biblical Text; Mk 14:22-24

As they were eating he took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to them.
"Take it," he said, "this is my body".
Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them, and all drank from it, and he said to them,
"This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many".

Short pause for reflection or,
Meditation of prayer´s group Mary, Queen of Heaven.

Eucharist: of Greek origin "Eukharistia" means "thanksgiving."
This word recalls the Jewish blessings that proclaim the works of God:
creation, redemption, sanctification.
The nature of the sacrifice of the Eucharist is clearly indicated in the words that Jesus spoke over the cup, according to the Gospel of Matthew:
"This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins".
This phrase recalls the story in which Moses sprinkled with sacrificial blood of the Sinai to the people, while saying:
"This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has done to you".

When Jesus instituted the Eucharist took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:
"Take, eat, this is my body."
In this phrase surprising the realism that identifies to the subject "this" (bread) with the predicate "my body" (the person of Jesus.)
Jesus' words leave no doubt. It is not a comparison: this is my body, but a real statement this is my body.
They are symbolic signs of the real presence real and personal delivery of Jesus Christ. In the sensitive signs of bread and wine, Jesus becomes truly present, that is for us.
The Lord addresses an urgent invitation to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist;
"Truly, truly, I say:
if you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, ye have no life in you." To respond to this invitation, we must prepare for this moment so great and holy. St. Paul urges an examination of conscience:
"Whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the Body and Blood of the Lord.

Let us exam our conscious, and then eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
One who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks his own punishment "(1 Cor 11, 27-29)
Who is conscious of a grave sin must receive the sacrament of Reconciliation before coming to communion.
The Church obliges the faithful to participate on Sundays and holidays in the divine liturgy and receiving at least once a year the Eucharist, if possible in the Easter season.
But the Church strongly encourages the faithful to receive Holy Eucharist on Sundays and holidays, or even more frequently, even every day.

Recall that in the body of Christ is the blood of Christ, which is beneficial and valuable, for the evils of the flesh, sensual evils, the evil thoughts, and spiritual laziness of pray.
That´s to say, receive the communion , it is the best way to face and remove all these evils, at all time.

Let us pray to Blessed Mary:
The grace to make a good confession and communion.

Pray the Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one The Glory be.
And then:
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell leads to heaven all souls, and helps specially the most need of Thy Mercy".

Fruits of a good Communion.

It increases the union with Christ:
"who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him" (Jn 6.56.)

Strengthen the Spirit:
What material food produces in the physical life, the communion is performed so admirably in the spiritual life. Communion preserves, increases and renews the life of grace received at Baptism.

Separate from sin:
as the food served to restore the loss of strength, the Eucharist strengthens the charity, which in daily life, tends to weaken, and this charity enlivened venial sins erased.
The more you participate in the life of Christ and the more their friendship progresses, the more difficult it will break up with him by mortal sin.

It involves a commitment to others:
to receive in truth the Body and Blood of Christ given for us, we must recognize Christ in others, especially the poorest and neediest.

Strengthens the unity of the Mystical Body:
The Eucharist makes to the Church. Those who receive the Eucharist are united more closely to Christ, for that very reason, Christ unites all the faithful in one body, the church. Communion renews, strengthens and deepens the incorporation into the Church, already achieved by Baptism.
